DMC Awarded Subcontract on US Cloud-Based Command and Control (CBC2) Contract

The U.S. Department of the Air Force’s Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) program awarded a $112 million contract to Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) as the ABMS Cloud-Based Command and Control (CBC2) software integrator.

Data Machines Corp. (DMC) is part of a select team of small businesses who will serve as subcontractors to SAIC on this critical effort to replace the legacy Battle Control System-Fixed weapon system.

“This is an exciting opportunity for DMC that intersects with a number of our proven capabilities; DevSecOps, microservice applications, and data science. We feel fortunate to be a part of this team that will help transform how we share data across the joint force and improve national defense” said Matt Quinn, CEO of DMC.

CBC2 is a set of tactical command and control (C2) microservice applications being developed with warfighter feedback that leverage the latest in DoD cloud computing environments.

“CBC2 represents a huge leap forward in battle management. Speaking from professional experience from my time in uniform, these tools couldn’t come sooner to NORAD, USNORTHCOM, and PACAF warfighters,” said Burt Thompson, President of DMC and retired U.S. Army Brigadier General.

Collaborating with the Air Force, Combatant Commands, and other components, DMC looks forward to developing solutions able to scale across the program.
