What if I cannot pay using a credit card or Paypal?
If you do not have a Paypal account, you can still pay using your credit card without registering in Paypal. If you'd like to pay by a different method such as a check, wire transfer, or electronic funds transfer (EFT), please contact Data Machines for more information.
What are the benefits of ordering online?
With the Optsee® online ordering option, you can easily view pricing, review and approve licensing terms, and access our industry-leading offerings in project portfolio management analytics as quickly as possible (even prior to payment).
Do you offer other methods of payment besides using Paypal?
Yes, however, they may take a bit longer. We use Paypal becuase it offers many different ways to pay so you can get your software quickly. Click here to contact Data Machines about placing an offline order. We can invoice your firm and you can pay in the form of a check, wire transfer, electronic funds transfer (EFT) or credit card.
Can I order online and pay offline?
No, offline orders and payments need to be handled through our regular sales channel. Click here to contact Data Machines about placing an offline order. After an order has been placed, an invoice will be mailed to the billing contact designated during the ordering process. Payment for that invoice may be made in the form of a check, wire transfer, electronic funds transfer (EFT) or credit card. You will be able to use your software upon receipt even though you have not made a payment. Payment terms are net thirty (30) days from the date on the invoice.
How will my online order be processed?
After your order has been placed, it will be reviewed and approved by Data Machines. Once it has been approved, we will e-mail you the information you need to download and register your licenses. This is usually done within 24 hours of recieving your order, however, it may take longer.
When will I recieve my software?
Electronic software delivery
You will receive an email with download instructions within approximately three business days of submitting the online order, usually much sooner.
CD or DVD
You may request separately to have your software be shipped to you on a CD or DVD for an additional fee. Click here to contact Data Machines about ordering a CD or DVD. You should expect to receive the software within seven to 10 business days of submitting the order request.
Can I download the software I ordered from your Web site?
Yes, the download instructions will be sent via e-mail within approximately three business days after the order is submitted online, though usually much sooner.
How are my licenses registered with Data Machines?
Each Optsee® license is registered to one user on one machine. To activate you license, you need to be connected to the internet to register with our servers. You can also use e-mail to register, but that is not as fast or convenient for you. Perpetual licenses only need to be registered when they are first installed on a machine or if the application is moved to a different machine. You will need to contact Data Machines if you are planning to move to a new user or machine. Annual licenses are managed similarly, except that they expire one year after purchase and delivery if they are not renewed.
How are annual licenses renewed?
Approximately 30 days before your license is set to expire, you will be invoiced for the following year. The annual renewal license fee is approximately 50 percent of the then-current first-year license fee. Payment for that invoice may be made in the form of a check, wire transfer, electronic funds transfer (EFT) or credit card.
Can Optsee® be installed on a virtual machine?
Optsee® single user desktop is licensed to one individual and one machine. It may be installed on a single machine in a virtual environment for use by the owner of that machine, but it may not be installed in a single machine and then accessed as a virtual application by other machines on the network. Optsee® single user desktop is not designed for multiple users, however, Optsee® server is designed to be used by multiple clients. How long are Optsee® versions maintained?
Data Machines usually releases a new version every 8 -12 months (a "X.0" or "dot-zero" version). At the time of the release of the newest version, maintenance of the immediate prior version starts to be phased-out. Any maintenance will only include possible bug fixes, and not any new features or certification in upgraded operating systems. At no time will Data Machines be offering maintenance of versions earlier than the last 2 releases.
