How long does it take to get started?
We will send you the download information usually within an hour of recieving your registration confirmation. You can then download and install Optsee® right away, and it will open in the demo mode. We'll send you your registration number to make it fully functional within 1 business day, but usually much faster.
Do I have to talk with anybody first?
No. However we do offer all of our free trial users a 60-90 minute optional web-training using GoToMeeting. This can be extremely useful in getting your specific project portfolio management questions answered. Optsee® also comes with a detailed HTML "Help" file as well as a Quick Start Guide. You can also find detailed video instructions for many Optsee® operations on our video demos page.
Is the free trial version fully functional?
Yes. When you first download and install Optsee, it runs in its demonstration mode until you enter the registration code that we will supply you after we have sent you the download instructions.
Is the Mac version Lion-compatible?
Not yet. We are currently conducting compatibility testing and identifying changes in the operating system that impact Optsee®. we will be offering a Lion-compatible version soon.
Optsee® is registered via the Internet or by e-mail if that option is not available. The Optsee® Desktop Version is licensed for a single user on a single machine, so the registration code that you received is unique for your name and your computer. You will need to contact Data Machines if you are planning to move to a new user or machine during the free trial period.
Can I still see my data after my free trial expires
Yes, but only in the demonstration mode and for a limited time. Additional data analysis and manipulation is limited in the Demo mode, and our trial verisons have an expiration date associated with them, so at some point they will expire. Your data files will be re-accessible with a new paid-licensed version. Click here for purchase information.
How do I get technical support?

Is this the most recent version?
Yes.
Can Optsee® be installed on a virtual machine?
No. Optsee® single user desktop is licensed to one individual and one machine. It may be installed on a single machine in a virtual environment for use by the owner of that machine, but it may not be installed in a single machine and then accessed as a virtual application by other machines on the network or using a remote desktop. Optsee® single user desktop is not designed for multiple users, however, Optsee® server is designed to be used by multiple clients.
